David was working on recordng a collection of songs with the working title of Romantic Duets with his producer/engineer, Ms. Gerber-Salins. Work progressed slowly on this project, with several duet partners.
At that very early beginning of TortoiseClimbing Audio™, we were making our recordings for private release for friends and family. Then in 1998, his mother asked him to record his parents favorite nostalgic hymns and songs. Work on the Romantic Duets recording was put on hold to make the Hymns and Songs of My Mother recording, which was released for digital download 6/20/2024.
Mother wanted that hymns recording to be a high-quality production for public release. That remade the goal of TortoiseClimbing Audio's™ into one of producing high-quality recording for public release. That means that in order to use the Romantic Duets material we must address the following issues:
While none of those issues were critical when the goal was for private release, only to family and friends, they are now unacceptable, since our current mission is public release of quality products. As part of the Nostalgic Love Songs series of EOs, we plan is to revisit the Romantic Duest and bring them up to the quality demanded for public release.

The analogue master tapes from the Romantic Duets recording are decoded and converted from analogue format to digital. They are awaiting future work to complete those songs to become part of Nostalgic Love Song EPs.
