At the online marketplace you can:

We are happy to announce the following Audio products -

1. The Crucifixion (released 10/6/2024)



This is a very different, more coral arrangement of this cantata about the Easter passion. It was performed by the 3 combined Annapolis High School choirs in 1959. Two womens choirs sing most of the recitatives and arias, producing a significantly more choral performance than scored by John Stainer. (It includes David in the part of Jesus - the first recording of a young David.)

Free digital download Store Access provides a link to the online Marketplace where you can download a digital file. This is restored and mastered from the private monophonic LP of this historic, 1959 amateur performce by Annapolis High School choirs. It contains:

• The mastered and restorated digital audio file;
• The numbers are separated into the score's 15 performance titles, enabling individual access; and
• A copy of the lyrics are included for all the numbers.



(NOTE - Bandcamp defaults to asking for a fee of $1.00. That is to cover unlimited streaming. You can get the free download by declining the streaming option.)

To preview and purchase go to Store Access, which provides a link to the online audio marketplace. There you can listen to and purchase this magnificant album of nostalgic old favorite hymns and songs. The online Marketplace allows you:

1. A limited number of streams of All numbers from the album;
2. Purchase and immediate download of the digital version; or
3. Ordering the CD version to be mailed.



This magnificant, professionally produced and recorded, extremely long (almost 1 hr 20 min - max for a CD) album of 27 hymns and songs. The fidelity and interpretations are a league above the vast number of well intentioned favorite old hymn albums found on YouTube. While those are nice, most of those old favorite hymn albums were recorded by untrained vocalists, in acoustically challenged church spaces, with limited accompaniment variations, by inexperienced people, using inexpensive lower fidelity sound equipment.

In contrast, this album was sung by professional vocalists, accompanined by a wide variety of professional musicians on real instruments, recorded in professional sound studios with professional equipment. Its interpretative achievements and outstanding sonic fidelity, set it apart. You can hear the difference!

This recording came about after the death of his father, when David's mother, knowning he was vocally trained and recording at a professional studio, requested he record their favorite hymns and songs. They jointly selected the old traditional, nostalgic hymns and songs from his parents favorite. See the playlist at either Simple Playlist or Annotated Playlist. His mother died shortly after, while production of this marvelous recording was underway.

(Those who subscribe to the podcasts will get free download of audiobook when completed.) Target of initial podcasts is promptly after ebook is completed, presumably during 2025.


6. Audiobook. At completion of advanced podcast subscription series, audiobook version from the eBook will be assembled and provided as a free download to subscribers of podcast series. Target for completed Audiobook availablilty by end of 2025. It will also be offered as part of a discounted bundle.

Books

• Companion History eBook (Working title - History Through 27 Hymns and Songs) Working Draft is with editor. (Progress repeatedly delayed by health events in her life, but hopefully in 2025.)
  
  This companion to the recording, Hymns and Songs of My Mother, is a lengthy history eBook telling histories from the time each hymn and song was written. The histories enable readers to understand how historic events occurring when each of the hymns and songs were written influenced each of the hymns and songs.
  
  To minimize price, distribution is planned as an eBook. To ensure footnotes appear on same pages as citations, the eBook will be a fixed pdf format. This will be available both as part of a bundle with the the digital audio download, and as a standalone pdf file from a different online store, accessed from the Publications section of the Online Store page.


• Individual Printed Histories - After completing advance podcasts and then audiobook, we will explore the possibility of making individual histories available for each of the hymns from the History Through 27 Hymns and Songs. Those could be as both eBooks and print books.


• Note. It appears we will have to set up a separate Online Publications marketplace for eBook sales sold separately from album, i.e., not as part of being bundled with an album. Details will be provided when it is set up.
